Chichester Street - The Garrick's eye-catching gaslit traditional exterior makes it stand out from the anonymous office buildings that surround it. At the heart of the city's commercial core, the Garrick has recently been sensitively restored, retaining its cosy, welcoming ambience from a time when the nearby streets were the city's Bohemian quarter. Popular with the city's legal fraternity (the civil courts are only a few hundred yards away) the Garrick's high ceiling lends light and air to the interior, while below your feet is some of Belfast's finest tilework. Now owned by a sports fan the pub's walls are decorated with portraits of golfing heroes, including Ireland's own fairway legend Fred Daly.
